And Aaron was silent…

«The Two Priests Are Destroyed» by James Tissot, ca. 1900, shows Nadav and Avihu, Aaron’s sons.

And Aaron was silent…

You said a man is known as a man because…

he can talk.

This faculty makes him different from beasts.

Is because he can speak that he is considered a man?

What about the silence being a form of communication?

What if silence/emptiness were also needed in the world?

Do you know how much can be said with no words?

Maybe a man without silence,

is a man without vision nor imagination.

He needs to describe everything

because he can’t see it in his mind.

He needs to put into words

what is in another dimension.

What if Aaron was silent because

he could see what is indescribable…

Did you ever thought of that?

Maybe he was the only to understand

that you can’t fit the Creator in his creation

and found vanity in the trying.

He wasn’t punished on his lack of words or action.

Did you ever wonder why?

It could be what he was seeing, no other man could see.

It could be that his silence was foreseen.

Then it would come clear why

he was considered a prophet,

he saw and chose to gift his soul with silence,

which is the beginning of all.

A gift from Heaven to Heaven,

a gift from another dimension,

a reply to futility.
